Mace Abdullah
Mr. Abdullah attended Ohio University and the University of Toledo in Ohio; later moving to California, here he obtained his B.S. and MBA from California State University, Los Angeles with emphases in Accounting and Finance. He obtained his Doctorate in Laws from Loyola Law School, Los Angeles (emphasizing business, tax and estate planning) and received his LL.M. (with emphasis in tax litigation and international transactions) from Golden Gate University School of Law, San Francisco.
Mr. Abdullah enjoys the privilege of practicing before all the courts of the State of California and is also admitted to practice before the U.S. Tax Court, the United States District Court, the United States Court of Appeals, the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board and the United States Bankruptcy Court. He is and/or has been a member of the American Bar Association's Real Property & Probate section, the International Research Association and the Business Law, International Law, Tax and Estate & Trusts sections of the California Bar.
Mr. Abdullah is the former principal of the Law Offices of Mace Abdullah, Los Angeles, as well as counsel to the Basich & Barish, Attorneys at Law, the Law Offices of Zoran Basich and Robinson & Pearman, LLP.
Mr. Abdullah is a former Senior Auditor with Deloitte & Touche, Los Angeles, where he supervised the audits of healthcare companies, large retail chains and defense industry contractors with the United States and foreign governments (performing several special procedure foreign audits). He is a former Supervisor of Audit and Tax with Lee, Sperling & Hisamune, CPAs, Glendale, as well as Tax Supervisor with Laventhol & Horwath, Los Angeles. As a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), he is a former founding partner of Khan & Abdullah, CPAs, Century City.
Mr. Abdullah is a former Senior Financial Analyst with Tenet Corporation, a Fortune 500 healthcare multinational, a former Acting Controller for National Medical Ventures, Inc., a promoter and general partner of limited partnerships in the healthcare industry, and the former Chief Financial Officer of Amica Technologies Sdn. Bhd., a Malaysian privately-held company in partnership with quasi-government start-up concerns in the radio frequency identification and software development sectors. He is a Licensed International Financial Analyst (LIFA).
Mr. Abdullah brings to the firm over 30 years of business, finance, tax and legal experience encompassing government service, privately held and publicly traded company management, public accounting and law practice. His practice includes business and bankruptcy law and litigation; taxation (domestic and foreign); estate planning; wills, trusts & estates (including probate, conservatorships and litigation); intellectual property, entertainment and real estate and commercial transactions and litigation.
