Estate matters often arise when someone dies without a will or living trust or with a will and without a living trust. These matters include clearing the title to real property, gaining access to bank and brokerage accounts, paying the last expenses of a deceased loved one and distributing property to the heirs of the decedent. Probate courts oversee these processes, as well as the subsequent payments for the costs of administration, including attorney fees. Conservatorships and Guardianships

Probate courts also conduct proceedings to supervise the conservatorships of incapacitated adults and guardianships of minors. The attorneys at Abacus Law are experienced in both of these matters overseen by the probate courts.
